Best Wishes for Belvedere
Hi Everyone,
To be a good teacher, it is enough to repeat the words and
figures followed from day one of our
service. But to be a great teacher, it is our soul responsibility to
make others follow our words and ideas.
A teacher who is reluctant to be keen and enthusiastic to
accept the changes will have to face failures in personal as well as
professional life.
It is a matter of immense pleasure that the BenchMark
International school has raised its benchmark by creating a staff blog “
Belvedere” which give space to share and explain novel thoughts.
We don’t have to be great to get started but we have to get
started to be great.
We’ve started it ... .Let it be continued……

The Role of Information Technology in Education
The Role of
Information Technology in Education
The Role of
Information Technology in Education is to explore the potential for technology and
to redefine the terms of teaching and learning. Technology is a tool — a means
rather than an end. Using technology effectively in the classroom
means transforming the classroom, teaching, and learning. Productive use of
technology does not mean using it solely to help slow students catch up, to
occupy quick achievers or to reward good behaviour. Where technology is yielding
results, the classrooms are student-centered, with teachers as coaches and
guides. Technology allows engagement, review, and especially assessment in
broader and deeper ways.
How
technology help Students ?
For students
, computer technology has provided an indescribable wealth of resources,
information and knowledge. Since the introduction of the internet, students are
now able to access information on whatever subject they want. Resources include
journals, articles, e-books, practice tests, examinations, model answers etc.
Research has also suggested that
computer technology has helped students to improve their grades. Practically,
students can work much faster using a computer which enables them to do more
study in the same period of time.
How
technology help Teachers ?
Computer
technology has enabled teachers to make their lessons more interactive and
therefore more interesting and rewarding. This method has also been shown to
improve pupil performance as lessons are more memorable and therefore students
are able to retain information more effectively. Teachers, like students, can
also find a whole host of resources on the internet which can provide inspiration
and advice for classes. Teachers are also able to recommend good resources to
students to further encourage and stimulate their learning.
"Technology is a gift of
God.
After the gift of Life
perhaps it is the greatest of God’s
gifts.
It is the mother of
civilizations ,of arts and of sciences."
So make use of TECHNOLOGY in class rooms
